Heath Cooper blows away all the competition by finishing with 73 votes for the 1999 Barefoot Central Footer of the year.   58 votes came in on the last day.   Heath must have spent the whole weekend making sure all of his skiing friends at Sea World as well as every family member he could think of knew about the contest.  Even Keith's Great Grandmother, Sallie (Sook) Thomas, made sure to cast her vote.  His Great Grandmother?  You've got to be kidding!  But Heath's entire family is very proud of him, and they all think he's crazy along with the rest of us.  Heath must have also coordinated a last minute family reunion since a lot of the votes came from the same email address.

But even if I discarded duplicate email addresses, Heath would still win hands down with 35 votes.  Congratulations Heath, you are the official 1999 Barefooter of the Year!!  You'll be receiving a Toe-Smokin Barefoot Central T-Shirt and a Barefoot Company Training video.  Don't forget to email me your address.   Oh, and I almost forgot.  I'll be making a copy of the video and putting that in with your prize as well.

Chuck, as a physician I have a certain appreciation for how one's lifestyle might be modified if one should attempt to barefoot with certain body parts unprotected - so I gotta hand it to Heath - I don't think you will find many willing to take that risk (further more doesn't it kinda make you wonder about the current situation of his "romantic" life?)

Health ain't the brightest bulb on the tree, but you have to admire his commitment level. Besides, he could use the video for teaching the Wallys at Sea World.

Colt Mahan finishes a close 3rd.

Colt Mahan from Keller, Texas Colt was the August Footer of the Month for his progress he made last summer and for qualifying for the 1999 Nationals in his 1st year of competition.  Colt skis in Boys III.

I am going to have to vote for Colt.  He is young but seems to have the sport in his heart.
And if he keeps with it he will go far.  It was hard to choose cause anyone that will do a back deep nude has got to be nuts.

Kyle and Debbie Fahrenthold finish 4th.  Kyle and Debbie must not have told all their friends about the contest.   Hopefully this will not discourage either of them.  They have both made phenomenal progress with their footing.  If Kyle ever decides to compete, he will definitely surprise quite a few competitive footers.
