Slalom Finals:
Keith St. Onge needed to slalom a 20.6 to increase his overall points by 17 and put some pressure on David Small.  After doing 9.5 wakes on his front pass, he pushed it too hard on backs and fell a 9.5, resulting in an 18.5 and 3rd place behind Brett Sands' 19.5 Gold, and Kenny Derry's 19.4.  Brett's Gold is the 1st time an independent skier has won a gold medal at a Worlds event.

Trick Finals:
Keith St. Onge went into the finals needing to trick no less than 9910.  After falling on a reverse line 360 in his first pass, he got up on his 2nd pass doing 4 feet-to-feet toe-turns, 540s, 720s, but fell short of his mark with a 7950 and 3rd place.  David Small took the gold in tricks with a 8850 in the finals, and Andre De Villiers took 2nd place with a score in the mid 8,000's.   Paul McDonald fell in his 1st pass but put up over 4100 pts in his 2nd pass and finished in 4th.  Congrats to Paul for an awesome Worlds and 1st time in a Worlds final.  John Pennay finished 5th.  We are unsure of his score.

Jump Finals:
After watching Keith fall slalom and tricks, David Small knew he had the overall wrapped, so he came out just launching himself off the ramp.  He landed a perfectly clean 27.5 meter jump, which was later downgraded to 27.4 meters.  That's 89.89 feet and a new World Record, pending official ratification.  We were so excited about that info, we forgot to ask distances on 2nd and 3rd, but Brett New took 2nd place and Lane Bowers brings home a bronze medal with 3rd in Jump.

As for the ladies, Gizzy wrapped up the Overall early with her unbelievable 4300 pt trick run, but she had a tough time in semis and final rounds falling in tricks and slalom.  What resulted was Rachel George bringing home the GOLD in Slalom, Tricks, and Jump.  That's her first clean sweep.  Rachel's strong finish in the finals secured a solid win for the US team.
