Music City River Run
- Nashville, TN
Put on by Jason Lee and Team SkiPro Extreme
Email:
jasonwlee@comcast.net
CANCELED ** CANCELED
** CANCELED
Due to lack of entries
Even though the Nashville Race was
removed from the Cup Series this year, we would still like to have a
race and invite all racers to attend. We plan to make this a
fun event that everyone can enjoy.
Here's a link to hotels in the
area.
The
Friday night skier's
meeting is at
www.caneyforkfishcamp.com around 7pm. Food
will not be provided as we are trying to keep the entry fee low
($100 per team).
The
race will be early Saturday like usual.
We plan on having a team race down river
ending in downtown Nashville, then have a random draw
scramble back is up river after about an hour
rest.
Awards we be given out at a local
park, same as last year. Directions to the start of the race
and awards ceremony will be given out at the Friday night skier's
meeting.
Chuck,
Two things.
The address for Caney Fork
Restaurant is:
2400 Music Valley Drive
Nashville TN 37214
#2:
The Nashville Race this year is
open to any footer that wants to attend, regardless of team
affiliation. If someone shows up the morning of the race,
He/She is guaranteed to ski. Ski-pro East will ski with 10
skiers if necessary. Ski-pro East will be using a 25'
Wakesetter w/ 8.1L Monsoon engine (it seats 10 comfortably!).
We're going to ski a team-style race down river and have a
"scramble" back with refreshments in between. It's going to be
an all inboard race. If you will, please shoot an email to
everyone letting them know that Nashville is an "All-Call"
race. Everyone is welcome and everyone will ski.
Thanks,
Jason Lee

Austin Dam-to-Dam - Austin,
Tx
Put on by: Austin Barefoot Club
Email: blakefoot@aol.com
D2D Promotion Video - Click Here
Rules changes for the D2D:
- We are eliminating the rule that does not allow more than one Pro or Elite skier per team. (This just doesn't apply anymore)
- We are changing the start technique to the "Platform Step-Off" that was introduced at the Tin-Top Cup Series Race.
Click
here to see video of start
We'll also have a "Marker Boat" that will be at the neck-down area of the start. Lanes 1-3 will have to pass on the right of the Marker Boat and the lanes 3-6 will have to pass on the left. All of the other rules we have in place will apply.
As we have done on the last few years, we'll offer one "Fun Heat" of up to six teams that will head out first on Saturday. This heat is not eligible for the finals. Depending on how many teams are in the competitive heats, will determine if two or three teams from each heat go, or if we need to have a wildcard to make up a maximum of six teams on Sunday morning.
