Well with less than 2 weeks to
the worlds, the South African team is returning the favor
and is doing the 25 hour plane journey to the States to
attend what is promised to be a great worlds. The team we
are sending is the youngest ever to go to a worlds.
The spirit is high amongst the kids and these kids had one
of the toughest and most testing training schedules for the
worlds. They have been training in the middle of one
of our coldest winters ever in about 30 years. Snow
fall in South Africa just does not happen. Along with
the cold water, the kids have had to ski in Hippo and
crocodile infested waters. Despite the cold and fear
of being eaten at any moment, these kids pushed the envelope
to new heights so at the end of the day all their commitment
and hard work should pay of.
I am worried more about the
parents than the kids. I just hope they can keep their
emotions to themselves and not let this nervousness rub of
onto the skiers. We have a large following of parent
supporters that are eager to see their youngsters to well.
So to the world BEWARE, the
Africans haves arrived. And those that can remember
the Worlds in South Africa, we will be bringing some warrior
drum magic with us.
