For those of you who missed the 1998 Austin Dam-to-Dam Race Nov 7 - 8, you probably missed the most exciting event in Barefooting in 1998.

I have entitled this article "Raising the Bar" because of how much I was astounded by amazing footing, creative team approaches, secret weapons, 1st class facilities, wild surprises, great prizes, and the unbelievable level of excitement from all the footers and their families.  All future barefoot races will inevitably be compared to this race.

In order to make this article easy to navigate, I have created a menu list to your left.  If you follow menu items from top-to-bottom, I'll try my best to give you a feeling of being at the 1998 Dam-to-Dam.
