Keith & Andre
Go Hollywood

by Chuck Gleason

Keith St. Onge, Gino Yauchler, and Andre talk on set

Thanks to Producer/Director, Bill Scharpf, Keith St. Onge and Andre De Villiers were given the opportunity to be professional stunt doubles for the lead actors in an upcoming movie, scheduled for release next summer called H2O Extreme.

The movie is being shot in Florida, in and around Cypress Gardens.  It's a storyline that Bill Scharpf has been working on for several years.  H2O Extreme is about a guy named "Austin" who grows up in Wisconsin, one of a family of water-skiers, which he does in the summer. Austin's also a great hockey player in the winter, and his dad pushes him to playing ice hockey. He's been away, playing juniors for six years and has a try out with a pro team in Florida. That doesn't go well, but he swings by Cypress Gardens to visit some friends who're doing ski-shows at the park, and falls in love with wake-boarding and skiing and competing all over again.

CC Colt (played by Tad Hilgenbrinck of Epic Movie and the upcoming Lost Boys 2) plays Austin's nemesis, his competition on the water and for "the girl," Ashlyn

Scene being shot is of Announcers calling the H2O Extreme event

Cypress Gardens throws an event to prove who's the best all around skier in the world, across multiple disciplines including, show ski, wakeboard, air chair, and barefoot.  Keith and Andre were called on to ski the some high end barefoot runs for the cameras.

The boys had never been around a movie set and got to see all the behind the scenes work that has to take place just to bring even the simplest of scenes to the screen.  There was a lot of waiting around and questions about what was going on, but when they took to the water, they both performed like they'd been doing it for years.  All you have to do is give a barefooter a fast boat, some water and a camera to perform in front of and something magical will happen.

Keith and Andre were both amazed when the actors in the movie came up to them to ask for their autographs.  "I never thought anything like this would happen to me" explained Andre as he reflected on his experience.  "The actors and film crew were all very accommodating to our needs and treated us extremely well" said Keith. "We hope we can do more projects like this in the future."

Did we forget to mention there will be a lot of HOT Girls in the movie.

Eagle Sports and BarefootCentral.com were called upon to provide skiers and actors with gear to ski in.  While on set, World Air Chair Champion, Gino Yauchler, got a chance to ski in one of the new Eagle wake vests and ended up asking Eagle if he could become of part of their factory team.  "We came to the set not really knowing anything about what was going done, and we came away with some great experiences, new friends, and a new member to our team" said Eagle owner Chuck Gleason.

So keep your eyes out for the movie H2O Extreme.  We hope to see it in theatres next summer.
