Dear BFC,
We would like to nominate Carter Schmitz, age 5, for barefooter of
the month.
What if I told you that there is 5 year from Rochester that can
barefoot? Who would believe me? Well his name is Carter Schmitz. He
started barefooting at the age of three. While learning how to
wakeboard on the boom he hollered “Faster Dave Faster!” As the boat
started to increase speed he jumped out of the wakeboard and started
to barefoot! He soon caught a toe but from observing other footers
he tumbled up and continued to barefoot for another 100 feet. From
then on, we all new we had something
special. His first ever barefoot win
was against the one and only Dave Mueller.
(as shown in the video below)

Carter was born into a water-skiing
family. When he is not on the water himself he is cheering on his big
brother Travis and sister Madilyn, his mom Betty and his dad Bill.
His sponsor and Trainer Dave Butlin
says, “Carter is a phenomenal skier. It's a
rare occurrence that you come across the kind
of talent and drive that he has.” Carter’s coaching staff; Bill and
Travis Schmitz, Jesse Butlin, and Matt Hoeft have all contributed to
Carters success. Carter is the one of the
youngest barefooters to ever foot long line.
He is a hard working, determined young boy. He truly is the man without
fear.

Thanks for your
consideration of Carter!

Congratulations
Carter!! Sounds like you have a great setup. Keep up the good work,
and keep making Dave look bad. He deserves every beating you give
him.
