Gossip update:

Jan 17, 2005
We have posted a lot of information about the upcoming 2005 season. We have also posted a very interesting article written by John Skobrak about the skier transition method they developed and that has been adopted by all the top teams.

We have developed a 2005 Cup Series Points Calculator to help you play "What if?" scenarios to determine what your total possible points might be in 2005.

We placed all the key links below. Be sure to check them all out:

Dec 21, 2004

The 2004 Racing Season is now behind us and we now have 2005 to look forward to.  We will be announcing a Racing Cup Series Board of Advisers made up of skiers and business owners that will work together with us to help promote and build the Cup Series Championship Series in 2005.  We will be setting the team ownership fee for 2005 at an even $1000.  Sign-up deadline will be in early March, which will give the teams plenty of time to practice and race organizers more time during the summer to put on more races up North.  We are hoping to have at least 8 teams in the Cup Series next year.  For more information on how you can get involved, please call Chuck Gleason at 972-318-0485 or email him at cg@barefootcentral.com. If you want to sign up early, click here. .

Team Barefoot Central #1 - 2nd Place

Team Homer's Heroes - 3rd Place

Team MVS Barefoot - 4th Place

Team Barefoot Central #2 - 5th Place

All 5 Cup Series Teams made the finals of the 2004 Dam-to-Dam Race.  That's pretty amazing seeing as though there was a record 19 teams in this year's D2D.  The battle for the top spot was fought heavily between Team SkiPro East, Team Barefoot Central #1, Team Homer's Heroes, and Team Barefoot Central #2.  The race keeps getting tougher each year.  The deciding factor came down to transition speeds.  Team SkiPro East was able to get skiers in and out of the water in record times.  Team SkiPro East has a firm hold on the lead in the Cup Series with two races left in the season.  The final race in Ocala, Florida will most likely be the race that determines the championship.

Every top team in the 2004 Dam-to-Dam was scrambling to get a SkiPro to ski behind.  Team MVS Barefoot made the finals because of their decision to forego their Barefoot Nautique and use a SkiPro instead.  Their Day1 heat was the closest and came down to their boat outrunning the 3rd place boat.
