Justin Thompson, an 11 year old from Cleburne, Texas, has been selected as the February Footer of the Month.  

As you can see by his picture, Justin doesn't let a little cold weather or rain get in his way.  His dad, Don Thompson, imforms me that this picture was taken in late December on the Brazos River.  The outside temperature was a brisk 45 degrees and it was drizzling all day.  Water temp was probably in the 50s.

Justin has been foot'n for 2 years and has had lessons with Lane Bowers and Paul Stokes.  He competed in his first tournament last year and placed 1st in Tricks.   He's currently training on his endurance skiing, getting ready for the April Brazos River Rat Run and then the 2000 Dam-to-Dam. 

Keep your eyes out for Justin as he begins his climb through the barefoot ranks.   If you spot him at a tournament, make sure to ask for his autograph.  I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more about him in the years to come.
