to offer a "one of a kind" barefoot club that we
hope will help support the sport of Barefoot Waterskiing. The name of this
worldwide club is:
Why are we doing this? Several reasons:
- To support the men & women who have chosen or aspire to choose
barefoot waterskiing as a full-time career.
- To give barefooters around the world a place to get the best equipment and
training at lower prices than they can anywhere else.
- To set up a program that will allow every barefooter to buy equipment at
discounted prices.
- To establish a process where we as footers can funnel the money we all
spend on equipment back into the sport.
- Profits from sales made on BarefootCentral.com are being
put back into the sport in the form of major event sponsorships such as the
US Barefoot Nationals, barefoot related charities such as Jan's Fans fight
against MS, Barefoot Jr/Sr Worlds Competition, cash prizes,
free give-aways, and
sponsorships for young footers (both male and female). More members
equals more money for the sport.
Won't this compete with local Barefoot Clubs?
This program is not being set up to compete with local barefoot clubs.
Your local clubs need your support more than ever to help put on tournaments,
run training clinics, and meet other footers in your area. But not every
skier lives in an area that has a club. We are setting Team
Barefootcentral.com up to attract new people to the sport by giving them one
place that they can go to find out what footers are like, and give them a way to
reduce the costs associated with getting into the sport. We hope to
support the local clubs by providing ways to reduce the costs associated with
putting on training clinics. Profits could be used to fund plane fairs,
free lesson days, or free give-aways at clinics. We are hoping that all
footers see the potential for supporting the companies in this program.
What will be my responsibilities as a member?
Barefoot Central will never ask you to do anything other than be a club
member and buy equipment and training from other footers. Why should a
barefooter have to buy equipment from a dealer or cataloger that uses its
profits to sponsor wake boarders or 3-Event skiers. As small as
barefooting is compared to the other events, we need to support our fellow
footers.
So how do I join?
You will have several membership fee options to choose from when
joining. Based on the fee paid, you will be enrolled into one of two
discount programs. Discounts will vary from one company to the next, but
the programs will be run the same.
Once your application is approved, you will be given a Member ID
and Password that will enable you to get into the Team Members Only
section of Barefoot Central. Once you are in, you will be able to browse
through all the cool gear and order equipment either on-line or directly from
each company via their 1-800 numbers.
When a you order a product, you will be asked for your Member
ID. Each company will have access to a current list of Team
Members. They will verify that the name of the credit card you are using
matches the name of the Member ID you give them. If you don't have a
credit card, you will need to send a check that matches.
As an added bonus, each new team member will get a Team Barefoot
Central hat worth $20.00, and a Toe Smokin Bad Boys sticker for their boat
