Michelle Cunningham, a Colorado native who currently resides in Winter Haven, Florida, was selected as the June 2000 Footer of the Month.  

Some of Michelle's accomplishments include:

She has skied at 2 Nationals 98 & 99. In 99 she finished 4th in Slalom, Tricks & Overall in womens 2.  This was a great accomplishment considering she does it only on a part time basis.

Michelle doubled her personal best in only 6 months last summer.  Her tricks went from 500 to 1010 points and slalom  from 3.5 to 7.1.

Michelle is now learning all her backwards tricks and in May she made two toe ups in a row on only her 10th attempt on the boom.  So she is really happy to say the least.

All of that sounds really great, but none of it really had anything to do with getting Michelle nominated for Footer of the Month.  The main reason she was selected was because of her upbeat personality and love of barefooting.  Once Michele gets in the water, you practically have to drag her back into the boat.  She will go "one more time" all day if you let her.  And no matter how good or bad she is skiing, Michelle always has a smile on her face.  We need more women (and men) in the sport like Michelle.
