Twin Cities area in Minnesota was selected as the 
June 2003 Footer of the Month

Here's why:

Dear Barefoot Central:

I would like to nominate every single male barefoot water skiers dream, a mega barefoot babe, for footer of the month.  Amy Lindquist is a show skier from the twin cities in Minnesota that learned to barefoot last summer.  She fell in love with it and has been going for it every since.

Amy is in the Air Force and was sent to San Antonio for a twelve week assignment.  While down in Texas, she really wanted to get together with someone to go foot’n.  Her boyfriend, Andy Nordquist (you never know boys, it might not last – ha ha), was a former student of mine at a barefoot clinic in the twin cities.  He looked my e-mail up on Barefoot Central's Locate a Footer and asked me who she could hook up with for foot’n in the S.A. area.  I gave them the e-mail and phone numbers of two other footers that happen to be former footers of the month, Mike Hartman and Heath “Naked Footer” Cooper.

Amy had not been on her feet that much and she wanted to better her skills.  She made a special trip over to Houston to spend a couple of days at the Get Stoked Barefoot Bed & Breakfast.  She was a great footer with an awesome attitude.  She advanced from barely getting up on the rope to mastering the deep water and becoming proficient at tumble turns.

As if being a babe and a barefoot water skier isn’t enough to qualify her as footer of the month, her attitude and excitement towards the sport is.  She is hungry to learn more and is always eager to get back on her feet.
