DAN BAUMGARTNER

has been selected as the 
March 2005 

Here's why:

I'd like to nominate a good friend/training partner of mine for Barefooter of the month. His name is Dan Baumgartner and here is a brief explanation of why I feel he's deserving:

I've been training with Dan for six years now and in that time I have observed a few things about Dan. I have never met a more driven barefooter in my 30 years of skiing. Dan absolutely lives and breathes this sport. He trains harder than anyone I know and it shows in his abilities. He is an Open skier now, and well on his way to Open Pro.

While training with Dan , he is always positive and energetic about his co-skiers accomplishments as well as failures, and is always willing to teach whenever he can. Dan has adopted several skiers into this sport over the years and is always well liked.

Dan is currently involved in arranging to bring the Wisconsin & Illinois State Tournaments as well as the Midwest Regionals to a site that allows us to better advertise our sport and attract new skiers to three event.

While at tournaments you can always find Dan helping out in some way , whether it be driving, setting up , or cleaning up , he's there.

For these few reasons and many more I feel he's deserving of the nomination.
