Here's why:

Chuck: I’d like to nominate Steve Mulryan as Footer of the Month.

What I like to see in a barefooter is someone that can one, get along with everybody and two, present themselves in a positive way!  I was just up foot’n with Steve who hired me for a clinic and he was always pumped up on and off the water!  He made everyone in the boat feel welcomed.  Steve would always have a smile on his face and better yet would keep everyone in a good mood as he was cracking jokes all day! 

Steve has been driving at tournaments for fifteen plus years and pulls his MasterCraft to every tournament as well.  Even if his MasterCraft didn’t have a plate on it, he was there promoting his boat and always foot’n behind it.  I’d say commitment like that deserves to be on Barefoot Central as Barefooter of the Month!

I had to laugh when his wife Seri said, “You ski way to much!”  Steve’s commit was simple yet to the point, “Would you rather me be at the bar every night having an affair or would you rather me ski everyday with a bunch of guys in the boat?”  “OK, I rest my case and I love you dear!”  We didn’t just ski everyday either!  He took me to Prior Lake on Sunday when I arrived and may I add, he brought his beautiful daughter just so I had a little eye candy!  Now that’s a quality ski buddy I’d say!  He gave me the tour and we had a couple soda pops and relaxed in the party cove the rest of the day. 

Steve even towed a boat three days to three different lakes just to help out whoever was in the area.  He catered to everyone just to make their day that much better!  I was treated with great hospitality at his home where he let me stay in his daughter’s room.  “No, she wasn’t staying in the room with me!”  So, that’s why I think Steve Mulryan should be considered as Barefoot of the Month.

Congratulations Steve for being nominated Footer of the Month!  You are now eligible to be voted the 2003 Footer of the Year.  Send us a picture of your daughter.  We want to verify that she had no baring on Keith's decision to nominate you.  Offering your daughter up is an excellent way to get the extra points needed to make the cut.  But don't let Keith try to convince you he makes the final decision on the Footer of the Year. ha ha
