Kyle Larson
was selected as the
September 2007
Footer of the Month

Good Morning Barefoot Central:

I would like to nominate Kyle Larson for the Footer of the Month. He is an avid bare-footer, a member of Southern Extreme ski team, a devoted husband and father, a businessman, and a friend. Kyle never boosts about his abilities, but as soon as he hits the water, you know he’s awesome. (this is Kyle testing how far out of position he can get before he falls)

He is one of those people who live and breath the sport. Kyle has such passion and drive to help other people achieve their goals. My family was personally blessed to have somehow crossed paths with him.

Kyle has been skiing most of his life and always takes the time to train anyone on our team who is willing to get up in the wee hours when the water is still calm. He invites footers to his private lake and never takes any money for gas. He always takes his run last so if we run out of time he goes without even getting a run.

When you meet Kyle for the first time he seems very quiet. He's a soft spoken person but his love of the sport shows in his smile. Kyle took my 12 yr-old son under his wing and started training him when he could barely slalom. Less than a year later he took him to a small barefoot endurance contest (just to give him the confidence that he could make his starts) My son won the prize for "dead last", however, he made his start and he was proud of himself.

Kyle is positive about his co-skiiers accomplishments as well as failures. Two short months later my son placed third in the Southern Regionals against many much more experienced footers. He owes his great form and solid footin ability to Kyle's generosity. You couldn't ask for a better friend to have out on the water.  I feel that Kyle deserves the recognition for everything he does for the kids and for the sport.

When Kyle walks on to that dock and into your life, you are a better person for it. Whenever Kyle is on the water or in the boat he has a smile on his face. Please choose "smilin Kyle" as your footer of the month.

Thanks, Karyn Bradley.

Karen:  Thanks for taking the time to nominate Kyle.  I enjoyed reading about him.  Congratulations Kyle, you've been added to a select list of footers from all around the world that can claim a BFC Footer of the Month nomination.  And you're now eligible to be voted the 2007 BFC Footer of the Year.  Good luck, and keep up the good work.
