The BarefootCentral.com On-line Pro Shop was established in 1998 in order to offer skiers around the world the opportunity to purchase all their barefoot skiing gear in one location at prices better than any other place.

The sport of barefoot waterskiing has seen a decline in popularity over the last 10 years.  As a result, the major magazines and pro shops have reduced the amount of products they carry and funds they allocate to sponsor barefoot events.  Barefoot event sponsorship has droppen significantly over the last 5 years.  As a result, we came up with a business plan that allows footers to pool their buying power and save money in the process.  Our second objective was to use the profits made in the on-line pro shop to sponsor and promote the sport of barefoot waterskiing.

Over the last 5 years, memberships to BarefootCentral.com have grown to nearly 300 active members and BarefootCentral.com has sponsored major events such as US Barefoot Nationals, Figure-8 Nationals, local and regional tournaments, and charity events such as Jan's Fans Fight against MS. In 2004, BarefootCentral launched a new barefoot endurance racing league, now known as the BFC Racing Cup Series.  Funds made in the on-line pro shop have enabled BFC to cover events around the world bringing many interesting articles, pictures, and videos to the BFC website.

Our mission is to promote the sport of barefoot waterskiing and fair sportsmanship.  We are all about bringing new concepts and ideas to our visitors that will make it easier for them to view the sport from their home or office computers.  Our goal is to make you feel like you are on the water with us through the use of interesting articles, pictures and videos.
